Easter Weekend

We went over to Grandpa and Grandma's house on Friday night where everyone colored eggs except for me.Grandpa tried to eat me.I hammed it up for Mama on Saturday.My stairs...all three of them.We went over to Nana and Papa's on Saturday night, but no one took any pictures. We went to church on Easter morning and then took a family picture afterwards.Mina sort of cooperated.I didn't cooperate for any pictures.Except for this one!I loved the stuff I got from the Easter bunny and my grandparents. The coloring book was particularly delicious.Mama gave me love eyes and Daddy snapped a picture.This is what she was looking at.We checked out the new equipment at Loomis Park yesterday.I enjoyed walking around while Mina fully explored the structure.Do you think I'm wearing enough colors?I just love to be outside.We went to Taco Tico for lunch after the park. Last night I snuggled Daddy after he finished painting a cupcake. He's comfy.
I had a doctor's appointment this morning, just a 15 month checkup. I'm doing very well developmentally. My weight was right at around 23 pounds and my height was measured at 33 inches. Could that be right? Anyway, I was in the 50s (percentile wise) for weight and in the 90s for height. I wore high heels so maybe that's what the deal was. I'll go back in three months. They drew some blood from me and Mina comforted me and tried to distract me. She was so sweet. She even tickled my fingertips while we rode in the car. Our arms are finally long enough to just reach each other. I really love my sister!

Sorry Mama hasn't been taking pictures of me lately. We do have a few to share. I love to snuggle my daddy (and Pinky).Next year's Christmas card picture?Mama loves to put me in overalls.It's hard working betting Pinky 1 and Pinky 2 out of the crib.Mama steals snuggles all the time.Finally! I've been taking really long naps most days (especially when the weather is nice). I've also been getting up at 7am when they'd like me to sleep in and at 9am when we have somewhere we need to be. Go me!I had an ear ache last week, but I'm better now. I'm also working on about five teeth. Pretty soon I'll just have my 2-year molars to work on.

Daddy moved the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs to the landing. It still keeps me from going all the way up, but I have several stairs to practice on.

Mama has been getting a workout chasing me around, as usual. Whenever we go anywhere to play, I make a mad dash for the door. What she wouldn't give for an open gym with closed doors that's full of toys and other kids to play with!

I'm starting to enjoy getting praised by my parents. Mama makes a big deal when I close cupboards, put things away, and place my milk onto the table instead of winging it across the room. I'm graduating to the big table and out of the high chair now that I'm showing good behavior. I'll still get to use my chair, but the front of it will be removed so I can sit with the rest of the family.

I haven't picked up a whole lot of new words lately, but a lot of almost words. I can also copy songs and yodel (according to my grandparents). I'm a big talker like Mina. I love to climb onto the couch and launch myself onto the dog. Life is good.

Life is good. I've learned how to do two very good things in the last couple of weeks. I can climb on the couch and I can give Mama hugs. I squeeze her around her shoulders and then she gives me lots and lots and lots of kisses.I can use my couch climbing to attack big sis and steal her mango too!Mama has solved the diaper stink issue once and for all with Daddy's help. She had been using regular bleach so the diapers didn't stink, but it was bad for them. Now, she's using the sun to kill the ammonia. So far so good (and beautiful)!Look at all that sunshine and bright white diapers! That's me running away from Daddy in the background.I'm a runner. This is the sight that my parents see most of the time. I love nothing more than to be chased.Look how sad I am once I'm caught.Daddy and Mama played outside with us today after we woke up from our naps. I'm so glad that Daddy is home so much. What a difference a year makes!Isn't Daddy funny?

Lucky

I have so many teeth that my parents have lost count, but it's 10-12 at the last check. I'm such a second child.I love to make funny faces.Mina plays with Plex while I follow her around. I like to put on necklaces and call people with my phone. I talk lots and lots despite not knowing any words besides Mama, Dada, hi, and pretty. At least I know the essentials.I love babies so much.I can read upside down. Cool, huh?

We went swimming last week and I loved it. I was a little unsure at first, but the water was almost as warm as my bath and Mama held me in her arms and twirled and jumped around. It was great. I laughed and smiled. It was way better than the first time I went in a pool and screamed my head off.

I somehow managed to miss the tummy flu that went around our family. Mama, Mina, and then Daddy and Nana all got really sick. I guess I'm just lucky (knock on wood).

Mama bought me a new dress while she was in Chicago and had to take pictures of me wearing it, even though it's more for next winter.Cheese!I'm a happy girl!Mina and I enjoy playing together and sharing toys.Bubba loves it when I give him attention.Self feeding is my thing these days so Mama let me have at it with a cup of applesauce. I did surprisingly well.Mina copied my eating methods. Silly big sister!I grabbed the camera lens and was thrilled with myself. Mama didn't notice the blurriness right away either. Charlotte - 1, Camera - 0You can't stay mad at me!I'm like a cat in the sunshine.Everything fills me with joy, even blood pressure cuffs.
I hope you enjoyed my cuteness. My family sure does. Even Mina can't resist kissing on me. I tackled her and made her fall down and she still gave me love.

Hi there!I'm a happy girl after a nice long nap. I sometimes nap from noon until 3:30 and I sleep in until 9am. I love sleep!I'm growing up fast. I really love to play with toys and other kids now.Mina's kitchen is awesome. I like to microwave her cereal.I'm good at blowing kisses. I usually blow them from my head or ear.Mama and Daddy went to St. Lucia for a week.
