Lucky

I have so many teeth that my parents have lost count, but it's 10-12 at the last check. I'm such a second child.I love to make funny faces.Mina plays with Plex while I follow her around. I like to put on necklaces and call people with my phone. I talk lots and lots despite not knowing any words besides Mama, Dada, hi, and pretty. At least I know the essentials.I love babies so much.I can read upside down. Cool, huh?

We went swimming last week and I loved it. I was a little unsure at first, but the water was almost as warm as my bath and Mama held me in her arms and twirled and jumped around. It was great. I laughed and smiled. It was way better than the first time I went in a pool and screamed my head off.

I somehow managed to miss the tummy flu that went around our family. Mama, Mina, and then Daddy and Nana all got really sick. I guess I'm just lucky (knock on wood).

Mama bought me a new dress while she was in Chicago and had to take pictures of me wearing it, even though it's more for next winter.Cheese!I'm a happy girl!Mina and I enjoy playing together and sharing toys.Bubba loves it when I give him attention.Self feeding is my thing these days so Mama let me have at it with a cup of applesauce. I did surprisingly well.Mina copied my eating methods. Silly big sister!I grabbed the camera lens and was thrilled with myself. Mama didn't notice the blurriness right away either. Charlotte - 1, Camera - 0You can't stay mad at me!I'm like a cat in the sunshine.Everything fills me with joy, even blood pressure cuffs.
I hope you enjoyed my cuteness. My family sure does. Even Mina can't resist kissing on me. I tackled her and made her fall down and she still gave me love.

Hi there!I'm a happy girl after a nice long nap. I sometimes nap from noon until 3:30 and I sleep in until 9am. I love sleep!I'm growing up fast. I really love to play with toys and other kids now.Mina's kitchen is awesome. I like to microwave her cereal.I'm good at blowing kisses. I usually blow them from my head or ear.Mama and Daddy went to St. Lucia for a week. We went to visit Great Grandma Naomi at the nursing home this past weekend. Nana snapped a picture of us all together pretty early on. It's a good thing, because both of us kids behaved badly after a short time. Mina wanted to play the piano and I wanted to sleep and drink and run around and SCREAM!Nana also came to tot spot on Tuesday to join in the Valentine's Day festivities. I showed off for her a bit.I wore hard-soled shoes for the first time that day.I played with the other babies during story time yesterday. The little boy wearing black was born on the same day as me. The little girl in the background with a blue shirt has a birthday two days after mine. Isn't that cool? I bet we'll all go to school together someday.Busy babies!Mina came out to play with us when she was done with her big girl activities.This is what our backyard looked like yesterday.This is what our backyard looked like this morning. As Mama types this, that little snow patch by the slide is completely gone.We decided to take advantage of the warmer weather by going on a long walk.Mina got all set up with raisins and milk and sunglasses.We were both pretty happy the whole time.I played on the deck behind the house while Mina played down in the playground. Mina picked out my outfit this morning and Mama said it wasn't appropriate for playing in the mud. I'll have to tell sissy to not dress me in cream pants when the weather is nice.I don't think Mama told you that I'm all the way weaned now. I haven't nursed since February 6th. I don't miss it one bit. In fact, I'm much more into Mama now. I had been a total daddy's girl since he didn't make me do things I didn't like. I'm more willing to snuggle her now that she keeps her shirt closed. I never did enjoy nursing, but we stuck with it for over a year.

I get to stay with Grandma and then Nana next week while my parents are in St. Lucia. Maybe I'll be nice to them and keep sleeping 14 hours straight at nights and taking 3 hour naps in the afternoon. When I'm awake, I'm happy, but I sure do need my sleep! Otherwise, they'll get to see Grumpy Charlotte. Grumpy Charlotte screams...a lot. Maybe they could use a challenge...

It's cold outside!It's never too cold to ride a trike.I refused to keep my mittens on so Mama made me wear her mittens.We had so much fun playing outside that we went outside again. This time, they didn't bother with a snow suit for me since I don't really enjoy snow.We found the Christmas tree in the extra garage.I also found some fun stuff up in the attic.Can we go inside now?

I had my one year appointment and all was well. I'm a little over 19 pounds and about 30.5 inches tall. I got to stand on the scale and get my height done. That was fun. I'm a big shot! Speaking of which, I got three. Youch!

We went to a Superbowl party on Sunday and had lots of fun. We got to see lots of other kids. I slept there just fine. Mina led a chorus on top of some bar stools. Another mommy got it on video so that'll be fun to see when those kids are old. I'm so glad I was too young to join in and get embarrassed at a later date.
