11 Months

I'm eleven months old and so big!Mina and I love to play chase these days.

All eyes.
I wanted to have some of Mina's muffin, but she wouldn't share. I had a bad incident with another baby yesterday morning. She bit me on the cheek. See the marks? Ouch!We're happy, happy girls. I think Santa has us on the nice list this year.Have a merry Christmas!

I thought you might all enjoy watching me toddle.

We had our family pictures this morning. I didn't cooperate. I just sat there and blankly looked at the camera. Mama plans to bring me back in a couple of months so Deanna can capture my personality a little better.

Walking

I started walking this past Saturday at 10.5 months old. Go me! I can do about six steps at a time, but I still prefer to crawl. Mama's been a slacker with the blogs, but here are a few pictures for you.I've figured out how to open cabinets. I love to get into things.Mina loves me...sometimes.Grrr....Mama couldn't get a decent picture of us playing together in the tent because we were both moving around like crazy people.

Be on the lookout for a video of my walking. There'd already be one, but the wrong kind of DVDs were purchased. Oops.

I had a good time with my grandparents while my parents were in Chicago. I managed to drink almost all of the milk Mama had saved for me. I was happy to go back to nursing once my regular milk source returned (to Mama's relief).

It sounds like I'm going to meet Santa pretty soon. Yay?!

Naughty

Don't be fooled by my sweet face. I've been a naughty girl. Mama even caught me in action. I mouth off.I growl.I tug on Mama.I crawl up stairs.I let go when I'm standing (which is going to lead to walking, the horror).Okay, well sometimes I'm just cute.Sometimes I'm not the naughty one. This picture is typical Mina these days.I eat everything, including non food items.I scatter stuff all about.I make weird faces.I defeat any attempts to keep me safe.I'm proud of myself.I'm eating the Christmas tree, one ornament at a time.Mama also took a few pictures of me in my new pants that a friend made for me. I'm styling.
I've been sleeping well only getting up early (around 6:30 most days). My naps end when Mina's start most days so Mama doesn't get any time to herself anymore (except today because she didn't let me sleep this morning). I now have five teeth. I can stand alone for about a minute and have taken a couple of steps at a couple of different times. My plan is to learn to walk while my parents are in Chicago so that they'll feel guilty for missing a major milestone. Take that!

10 Months

I turned ten months old today. I'm really growing up. I've been sleeping through the night for the last week or so (not that Mama wants to talk about that and jinx herself). My new bedtime of 6:30ish has made my schedule line up with Mina much better. I go to bed, then she snuggles with Mama and Daddy for a while and goes to bed. I wake up at about the same time as Mina in the morning (about 7am). We then have several hours to play before I need a nap. Give me a few more months and I'll be down to one nap and Mama will be living a life of leisure.

Anyway, Nana got a great picture of me that shows all of my teeth.Mama brought me to Waterloo to celebrate Great Grandma Hamilton's 79th birthday. Macy and Anya took good care of me (as usual).The birthday girl. :)Mama is all ready for her trip to Chicago with Daddy. She's been pumping twice a day for the last month or so in order to store up over 100 ounces of mama milk. It was a lot of hard work for her since her body doesn't like the pump very much, but she did it. I'm so glad I don't have to have formula (not that it would have hurt me any, but it sure would have tasted different).Daddy is all settled back in. We're so happy he's back home!

Nana took Mina for the day on Monday so I got Mama all to myself. We went on a walk along the river.I ate part of my lunch in the stroller. That was fun. We're usually house bound due to Mina's nap schedule so that made it extra fun.Look what I can do!Mama took a bunch of pictures of me while we were near the construction site because she had to work up her nerve. There was a creepy man that followed us for a while so she felt better near other people. We had to go back by where the creepy man materialized in order to get back to our car. Mama was all ready to use some of her kenpo moves on him, but he thankfully disappeared.Since we were safe, Mama let me get out and explore the grass. I had a grand time looking away from the camera while Mama tried to get my attention. It was hilarious. These were the best of the crop.We've been sending Daddy pictures on Mama's phone since he misses us.I bet he liked this one.
I've been so busy while Daddy's been away. I can stand independently for about 10 seconds. I clap my hands all the time. My top teeth show when I smile really big. My fifth tooth will be in tomorrow or the next day (judging by the puffiness and pain). He'd better get home soon or I'll be walking.
